Rusne has made her Glyndebourne Opera House debut as part of the chorus in Smyth's 'The Wreckers'. The opera has received lots of positive reviews. Here is what the press writes about this five star production:
'The evening’s real heroes, though, are the Glyndebourne Chorus: Smyth doesn’t make their task easy but their singing is sensational throughout.' (The Guardian)
'Cue the strident choruses that are among the more effective parts of Smyth's score, delivered with chilling force by the Glyndebourne Chorus.' (The Telegraph)
'As the populace, portrayed by Glyndebourne’s excellent chorus, rounds on its chosen victims, the sheer dramatic force is something to behold. Think of this: there is no English opera written before or after The Wreckers that can match Smyth’s open-hearted, unapologetic, no-holds-barred passion.' (Financial Times)
'The chorus writing is the most impressive compositional achievement – boldly drawn, richly-textured, and thrillingly interpolated into the narrative. (The Glyndebourne Chorus were on roof-raising form).' (OperaWire)
'The LPO and Glyndebourne Chorus are on top form' (Evening Standard)
